Northwest Indian Treatment Center ( NWITC ) , which opened in 1994 , offers residential alcohol and drug treatment population is primarily Native American, Washington, Oregon and Idaho. Received national accreditation by CARF in January 1998 and recognized by critics as one of the best housing programs in the nation.

Welcomed and acclaimed by tribal leaders who saw an urgent need for a facility of this type , NWITC has responded with overwhelming success of almost 60 percent. Medical center specializing in solutions of trauma and pain associated with chronic relapse term.Ingenious in design, the center offers a variety of cultural activities and traditional / religious ceremonies, so it is the place of origin of recovery. . . body, mind and spirit. Appropriately, the center was given the spiritual name "Lil D3WXbi " which means "return of the dark and light deep waters. "
Medical center accepts patients who are referred through outpatient treatment programs , forgiveness and pilot services , hospitals , assessment centers and family child care homes . Medical services provided by local clinics Indian Health Services and other health care providers .
Located in the center of Grays Harbor County between Olympia and Aberdeen , the center sits on 2.5 acres in the small rural town of Elma , WA.
